Frederick Yip started his music journey at the age of four when he began piano lessons. He is currently studying under Dr. Chia-Lin Yang in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has won prizes at the Junior Bach Festival, US Open Music Competition-Classical, US New Star Music Competition, Great Composer Competition-Chopin, and the US International Competition-Romantic. When Frederick was seven years old, he was also attracted to the sound of violin and started taking violin lessons. He has been in the first violin chair in his school orchestra. In addition to his passion for music, Frederick enjoys art, reading, and sports.
