Eliza Henne is a tenth grader at Our Lady of Good Counsel High School, Olney, MD. She has studied the violin since age six under the instruction of Dr. Kyung-Shin Lee, Ms. Shelley Mathews, and Mrs. Zina Gendel. This is her sixth consecutive season in the Maryland Classic Youth Orchestras at Strathmore. She was chosen as a finalist in the 2016 National Chamber Ensemble Young Artists' Achievement Competition. She has participated in the American String Teachers' Association (ASTA) Certificate Advancement Program of three years, completing levels 7,8, and 9. She also participates in the New Life Foundation Youth Orchestra and the Good Counsel String Ensemble, where she plays with a four-year music scholarship. This year, she is a member of the Maryland All-State Senior Orchestra. She hopes to continue her musical career through her college years.
