Born in Italy and raised in a family of musicians, Elisa Plano started playing the piano at the age of 5 at the Accademia Musicale Varesina, Varese (Italy), under the guidance of her mother, pianist Paola Del Negro. She started to perform very early, for Italian Music Festivals such as "Note di Lago" in Travedona Monate, Musiké in Monza, "Flying Notes" in Milan, "Le Schubertiadi del Lago" in Varese, as well as at Santuccio Theatre in Varese, Civic Theatre in Caraglio, Showroom Fazioli in Milan. She has won already several prizes in National and International Piano Competitions: 1st Prize at the International Piano Competition "City of Albenga", Music Competition "Talenti in Canavese" in Aglié (Turin), 2nd Prize at the International Piano Competition "Remo Vinciguerra Prize" (where she was selected to partecipate in the recording of Vinciguerra's music). She recently won 1st Prize (solo division) and 2nd Prize (4 hands division) at the Elite International Music Competition, which allowed her to perform at Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York. In USA she played with her family in several venues like Tabor Academy in Marion (MA), Knowlton Auditorium in Austin (MN), Farley's House of Piano in Madison (WI), in Ottawa (Canada) for MitBravour Concert Series and performed privately for Senator Ted Cochran in Washington. She is also featured in the 2016 Christmas video produced by one of the most important piano manufacturers in the world, Fazioli Pianos.
