Daphne Nie is a 16 year old violinist and junior at North Allegheny Intermediate High School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She began playing violin when she was 10 years old as a part of her elementary school orchestra program. She began lessons half a year later with Mr. Hongguang Jia of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, with whom she still studies with today. She enjoys playing with her local orchestra, the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra, and hopes that music will always be a part of her life.
