Caroline Zhu is from Cary, North Carolina. She is a 15-year-old sophomore at Enloe High School in Raleigh. Caroline began studying violin at the age of 5 with her teacher, Mary Page Block. Since she was 8, she has been playing in orchestras and honor recitals at the Triangle Philharmonic Association. She is a third time finalist of the Peter Perret Youth Talent Search and received second place for the 2014 Junior Division. In 2017, she was a Second Place Winner at the junior division of American Protégé Piano and String Competition, and a 3rd Prize winner at the ENKOR Int’l Music Violin Competition. Caroline enjoys swimming and talking with friends in her free time.
