Yue Zhao
Yue Zhao was born in Weihai, China. Most recently, she attends Texas Tech University and is pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts in Vocal Performance. In 2015-2016 season, she has appeared with the California State University, Northridge Opera Theatre as Hansel in Hansel and Gretel. Her 2014-15 season honors include: She won the third Prize in the 3th Fujian “Golden Bell Flower Awards” Vocal Music Competition in June 2015, and the third Prize (Undergraduate Bel Canto Group) in the 4th Chinese Peafowl Award National Vocal Competition for Art College Students in July 2014. From June 2013 to March 2014, Ms. Zhao participated in the periodical rehearsal and performance organized by the Xiamen University chorus. Ms. Zhao acted as one of the leading singers in the Xiamen University chorus performance in Malaysia and The Singapore Esplanade Theater. She won an award from Xiamen University for the high-quality performance overseas. This year, she will appear as the Resident in Breath of Life with The Texas Tech University School of Music. Yue Zhao received her Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from California State University, Northridge.
