Patric Pletzenauer


Patric Robert Pletzenauer, born in 1994 in St. Johann in Tirol, Austria, had his first flute lessons at the age of 8. At the age of 14, he was admitted to the preparatory course at the Tiroler Landeskonservatorium Innsbruck near Reza Najfar. After completing his apprenticeship as a banker, in 2012 Patric began studying concert studies at the Music & Art University of Vienna in the class of Prof. Rudolf Gindlhumer, from 2013 in the class of Andrea Wild, as well as instrumental / vocal pedagogy at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna , both in the main subject flute. He graduated in June 2016 with honors from both bachelor studies. From September 2016 he did his military service at the Gardemusik Wien, also studying flute in the class of Prof. Barbara Gisler-Haase. In addition to studying in Vienna, Patric has been studying for a master's degree in flute with the professionalization of orchestral music at the Franz Liszt School of Music under Prof. Wally Hase. He is multiple national award winner of the Austrian competitions "Prima la Musica". Masterclasses by Andrea Lieberknecht, Davide Formisano, Erwin Klambauer, Karl-Heinz Schütz and Michael Martin Kofler are expanding his flutistic skills. He was also able to gather a lot of orchestral experience. In addition to concerts with the Webern Symphony Orchestra of the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna in the Vienna Musikverein and Konzerthaus, he worked with the Junge Philharmonie Wien, the Viennese Jeunesse Orchestra and the newly founded "Ton der Jugend Symphonieorchester Wien". Winning a time contract at the Vienna Volksoper in 2017 will expand his work in the professional orchestral field. Furthermore, he is also a permanent substitute in the Vienna Volksoper. Since June 2017 he is also a scholarship holder of the Anny-Felbermayer-Fonds. In August 2017, Patric made his debut as a soloist, he was invited to the 4th Thuringian Bach Weeks under the direction of Helmuth Rilling to present there as a soloist J. S. Bach's B minor Suite with string orchestra. From the winter of 2018, Patric is engaged as deputy solo flutist in the German National Theater - Staatskapelle Weimar until the end of the season.
