Barbara Prado was born in Monterrey, México in 1998. She currently studies at the Autonomous University of Nuevo León under the guidance of Dr. Antonina Dragan.
She has recieved masterclasses from artists such as Jorg Demus, Jorge Federico Osorio, Dimitri Rachmanov, Vitaly Pisarenko, Jonathan Shames, Leonel Morales, Ana Bogolyubova, Jean Francois Latour, Patricia García Torres, among others.
She has participated in internacional Music festivals such as the "12th International Masterclass and Piano Festival Leonel Morales" in Granada, Spain., and The "International Piano Festival and Masterclass" in Monterrey.
She has performed as a soloist with the Chamber Orchestra of the Music Faculty of the Autonomous University of Nuevo León and the Symphony Orchestra of the University of Montemorelos.
She has won prizes at competitions such as the 1st prize at the 2nd National competition of young Pianists ""Parnassos"" (2009), the 1st Prize at the "5th International Bienal de Piano(2008)", the first prize at the "8th International Bienal de Piano(2014)", 2nd Prize at the "1st National Competition,University of Guadalajara (2016)".
She has performed solo recitals in venues such as the Aula Magna of the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon.
She has participated in the recording le the CD"Producción musical de Talentos" (2013) and the CD"Ganadores" (2017) both published by the Autonomous University of Nuevo León.
