Ashley Ng Rui En


Ashley Ng Rui En, 11, aspires to perform music in many places to bring joy and inspiration for others. She is currently learning piano under the tutelage of Ms Christine Gan in Singapore.

Her past achievements and performances include the following:

 In January 2018, Ashley participated in the International Piano Island Festival in Singapore and is greatly honored to attend master-classes with renowned International professors from Korea, Russia, Portugal and Singapore. Solo performance in the closing concert on 15 January 2018.

 On 16 December 2017, Ashley performed in the Piano Marathon 2017 fundraising event organized by Steinway Gallery Singapore, which this event officially achieved the Longest Piano Performance in the Singapore Book of Records.

 In November 2017, she was awarded FIRST PRIZE Winner for Junior Category in the International Music Competition “Rome” Grand Prize Virtuoso 2017. Invited to perform at Auditorium Parco della Musica, Rome (Italy) on 19 December 2017.

 In August 2017, she was awarded FIRST PRIZE Winner for Junior Category in the International Music Competition “Vienna” Grand Prize Virtuoso 2017. Invited to perform at Glaserner Saal, Musikverein (Vienna) on 22 September 2017.

 Ashley was awarded 3 GOLD awards (one for Grade 8 Piano Solo and two for Piano Duet Categories in the Singapore Performing Arts Festival (SPAF) in August 2017.

 She won 2ND prize in the Great Composers Competition: Artist of the Year for piano duet in September 2017.

 In the Euroasia KL Piano Festival Competition held in Malaysia during August 2017, she was awarded SILVER for solo performance in the Age 12 and below division.

 In May 2017, she was awarded 2nd prize for the age 8-10 category in Great Composers Competition: Best Brahms Performance for piano duet.

 Ashley made 4 public piano performances (including 1 piano concerto Mozart Piano Concerto no.1 in A major KV414 movt.2 under Conductor Professor Kazimierz Brzozowski with the Festive Chamber Orchestra from Lublin Philharmonic) during her participation in the International Piano Festival - Summer held in Chopin’s Homeland in Poland during July 2017.

 She also enjoys performing in projects such as Steinway Rising Stars Series at the Singapore National Gallery, Bach in the Subway and STMA Music platform at Yong Siew Toh Music Conservatory. She gives back to the society by performing at the Alexandra Hospital Singapore for the staff and patients during August to November 2017.
