Alex Urling is 12 years old and is in the 7th grade at Pine Richland Middle School located in Gibsonia, PA, USA. He has been playing piano since the age of 6 and is currently studying under Dr. Marina Lupinacci. He has attended the prestigious Interlochen Summer Arts Camp in Michigan for 3 summers in a row and was accepted into the Junior Advanced Piano program for the last 2 years. He is a Steinway Young Artist with the Steinway Society of Western Pennsylvania and has performed in various Honor Recitals including solo performances preceding the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.
Though piano is his first musical passion, Alex also plays French horn in the band program at his school. When he is not practicing or performing on piano or horn, you will likely find him in the pool training for swimming competitions. He enjoys puzzle games and solving the Rubik’s cubes. He loves exotic sports cars and researching their facts and stats. He is an excellent student, musician, and athlete with ambitions of becoming an orthopedic surgeon someday.
