Katharine (12) started learning piano at age 4 at the Hoff-Barthelson Music School in Scarsdale, NY.
Katharine moved to California in 2012 and joined the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM) in the Fall of 2013 and has been enrolled in the full time pre-college program. Katharine completed all level 6 of Musicianship classes which is equivalent to AP Music Theory. Katharine also has been taking SFCM Chorus and piano ensemble classes.

- Winner of the Third Prize at the 20th Annual San Francisco Chopin Competition for Young Pianists for the first age category (through 9) in 2015
- Invited to perform at SFCM Pre-college Showcase in 2016
- Invited to perform at a concert “The 14th Annual Young Pianists Play Liszt Program” in 2017, organized by the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of the American Liszt Society
- Winner of the First Place and The Best of Show for the age 11-12 year old category at the Marin County Fair Piano Competition in 2017
- Invited to perform at North Bay Wildfire Benefit Concert Program at San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 2017.
- Winner of the First Prize for ""The Music of American"" and the Second Prize for ""Best Beethoven Performance"" in the Great Composers Competition in 2018
- Winner of the 2018 Marin Music Chest Scholarship for her piano performance
