Boris Uzunov is a student in X grade of the National Music School “Ljubomir Pipkov”, Sofia. His piano teacher is Mariana Shikova. Boris is a laureate of many national and international piano competitions: VII National competition “Orfeeva darba”, Sofia; V International competition for young pianists, Vranje, Serbia; XII International competition for young pianists Nish, Serbia; IX International competition for young musicians, Pernik, Bulgaria; First National competition for young pianists “Pancho Vladigerov” – Shoumen, Bulgaria (and also the special prize on the name of Pancho Vladigerov); VIII International competition Young Virtuosos, Sofia (and also the special prize), IV International competition “Piano Talents”, Milan, Italy; VIII International competition ‘Liszt-Bartok’, Sofia; International ‘Golden Key competition’ in Plovdiv, Bulgaria; 15th International Competition Ohrid Pearls, FYROM and IVth international competition Cesar Frank, Brussels, FLAME Competition, Paris.
For a fourth consecutive year he has won the special grant for young pianists on the name of “Lidia Kuteva” founded by the prominent Bulgarian pianist - Professor Pavlina Dokovska.
Since 2014 Boris is a student in New Bulgarian University in the class of the famous Bulgarian pianist Ludmil Angelov.
