Ana Alves


Ana Alves began her musical studies in ARTAVE in 2005. She attended master classes with teachers Ryszard Woycicki, Marc Tooten, Pedro Muñoz, Aida-Carmen Soanea, Luis Magin Muñiz, Kenneth Martinson, Ana Bela Chaves, Jon Thorne, Guy Ben-Ziony, Ivo van der Werff, Tatjana Masurenko, Marian Movileanu, Volker Jacobsen and Jerzy Kosmala.

Since 2008 she joined in the Artave orchestra and APROARTE orchestra directed by maestro Ernest Schelle and Luis Machado, where she had the opportunity to work with many others conductors like Cesario Costa, Collin Metters, Christophe Millet and Emílio de César. In chamber music, she studied with Luís Machado, António Soares, Jorge Alves, Eliseu Pereira, António Saiote, Vitor Vieira, Carlos Azevedo and Ryszard Woycicki. She attended master class chamber music with teacher Juan Garvayo.

In 2010 she won the 3rd place in the national competition for Viola d'arc Ourem-Fatima. She gave some solo recitals in Porto, Lisboa, Santo Tirso and Guimarães and Gaia.
In 2011, as a student of ESMAE she attended in the Symphony Orchestra of ESMAE and Sinfonietta under the direction of the principal conductor António Saiote and she was also conducted by Wolfgang Kurtz, Michelangelo Galeati, Christoph König and Jan Zarzycki.

She studied Master in the viola class of Rute Azevedo and Ryszard Woycicki and finished her degree in February 2015 and won one place in Competition Campus delle Arti.

Currently she works as a freelance musician, collaborates with the Jungen DeutschFranzösischen Philharmonie, Orquestra Filarmonia da Beiras, World Peace Orchestra under the direction of maestro Gintaras Rinkevičius, Orquestra do Norte and Orquestra Classica do Centro, Atlantic Coast Orchestra and Opera ao centro.
