Michelle Lee
Michelle Lee, 16, is currently a senior at Saratoga High School. Her musical adventure started at the age of four when she learned to play the piano and continued to play for the next ten years. When she turned 10, she picked up playing the flute for her school band. Since then, her love for playing the flute has expanded since the past 3 years under the tutelage of Isabelle Chapuis. She has been a member of California Philharmonic Youth Orchestra for the past four years, soled with orchestra in 2016 and has been the co-principal flutist throughout. Michelle won 1st place in 2017 International US Music Competition and award 2nd in 2017 US Open Music Competition, CMTANC International Youth Music Competition and International Grande Music Competition in NY. Outside of her orchestral activities, Michelle volunteers in musical organizations such as Hopebox, MUSE, and KAMSA and fundraised for different organization like Save the Children, UNICEF, Syrian Refuse children and so on. In addition to playing the flute, Michelle is a 2015 and 2016 CCS qualified cross country runner and also enjoys writing stories for the Saratoga High School newspaper, watching horror movies, and drinking boba with friends.
