Laura Huang is 12 years old born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. She is a 7th grader at Iolani School. She began studying piano at age 4 with her dedicated teacher, Joanna Zane Fan.
Laura won 2nd Place at the Aloha International Piano Festival Competition in both 2017 (Level B) and 2014 (Level A) and Honorable Mention in 2016 (Level B), 2015 (Level B), and 2013 (Level A); 2nd Place at the Hawaii Music Teachers Association Junior Artists Piano Competition in 2015 (Level 2) and Honorable Mention in 2013 (Level 1); and 3rd Place for the Hawaii Regional Round of the Osaka International Music Competition in 2017 (Section I – Category E3). She has participated in Masterclass with Haewon Song in 2017.
Besides piano, Laura, also, enjoys playing the violin with her school orchestra and playing tennis with her junior tennis team.
