Born and raised in a musical family, Nhi started playing piano at the age of four. As an enthusiastic and hard working individual, she succeeded in entering the Vietnam National Academy of Music (Hanoi) to study for nine years under the Young Artist Program with Ms. Lan Huong Ngo, and graduated with highest distinction. Upon graduation in 2014, she was chosen to study in University of Music and Performing Arts, Graz (Austria) with full scholarship granted by the ASIA-Uninet and OeAD. During her time in Graz, she further developed her deep interest in Hammerklavier, which led her to take the instrument as her second major with Ms. Katharina Olivia Brand. She has also taken masterclasses with distinguished pianists such as Andras Schiff, Dang Thai Son, Stephen Hough, Nelson Goerner and David Fray.
In 2017, Nhi took part in the Yong Siew Toh Concerto Competition, in which she attained first prize, and will be one of the three finalists to perform with the Conservatory Orchestra in August 2017.
Currently, she is pursuing her Bachelor of Music Degree in the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music with Prof Thomas Hecht. As well as being a soloist, Nhi is an active chamber musician in which she has the most recognised collaboration with Muse Ye as a duo-piano team.
