Joshua Paaske, 18, started studying piano at the age of 7 and has been under the teaching of Erna Gulabyan since he was 13 years old. His awards include 4th prize at The United States Open Music Competition in 2014 in the Showcase Piano Solo category, 3rd prize at AADGT’s International Young Gifted Musicians Festival “Passion of Music” in 2014, winner of American Fine Arts Festival in 2016, for which he had the honor of playing in the Winners Recital at Carnegie Hall, and 2nd prize for Best Liszt Performance with Great Composers Competition in 2017. He also enjoys playing acoustic and bass guitars and leading the youth worship band at his church. He currently lives in San Jose, CA, and attends Lynbrook High School as a senior.
