JingEn Chen
Born and raised in Shenzhen, China. Jingen Chen is winner of numerous national competitions. She is a piano fellow in 2017 Montecito International Music Festival. Also, She was invited to perform at the inaugural concert of the Shenzhen Cultural Arts Festival in Shenzhen Concert Hall. Her performance appeared several major cities of China such as Beijing, Shanghai, Wuhan, Yunnan, Shenzhen and Guangzhou. Over the past years, she participated in master classes given by world-renowned pianists such as Jean Yves-Thibaduet, Kevin Kenner, Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń, Andrzej Jasnski, Arie Vardi, Boris Berman, Peter Takács and Jinxing Li. Her playing was invariably praised by the above-mentioned pedagogues.
She was awarded the 7th International Chopin Piano Competition in Asia (Gold prize, Piano Schloβ Prize and YODA Prize) in Japan, 2007;
the Fourth KAWAI Asia Piano Competition (1st Prize in Professional Senior Group)in China, 2013;
The Fifth Qingxing Cup Guangdong Piano Competition( 2nd Prize in Professional Group A), 2008;
The 4th HAILUN CUP China Piano Competition (1st Prize in Junior Group A) in Shenzhen, China 2007;
She began her musical studies on the piano at the age of 12. Since 2009, She had studied under Professor Ming-qiang Li, an influential Chinese pianist. She is currently pursuing a Professional Performance program at Cleveland Institute of Music under the tutelage of world-renowned pianist Daniel Shapiro.
