Grace Wang


Grace Wang, a tenth grader at Phillips Academy Andover, currently studies piano at New England Conservatory Preparatory School with Hitomi Koyama and Victor Rosenbaum. Her previous teacher was Professor Ingrid Clarfield. Grace has won the 1st Prize and Audience Award in the Glory Int’l Piano Competition for her performance of Liszt Rigoletto, 1st prizes for the Best Mozart and Rising Talents of the World in the Great Composers Competition Series, 1st place in American Protégé Talent competition, 3rd prizes in ENKOR Int’l Music Competition, the NJMTA Young Musician Competition, IV Future Stars International Piano competition, and a special award for Best Shchedrin Performance. She has also won the 1st place in the Piano Teacher’s Congress of New York Honors Program, 1st place in American Fine Arts Festival, 2nd place in Greater Princeton Steinway Piano Competition, American Protégé International Competition of Romantic music, Camerata Artists International Competition, and the VIVO International Competition. Grace also has received Grand Prix Awards at the Concert Festival Competition and the Music-Fest Rising Talents Festival. She has two Gold Awards from the IMPACT Young Artists Competition, 1st Prize with a Perfect Score Award from the Crescendo International Competition, and 1st Prize with Outstanding Performance Award in the Concert Artists International Virtuoso Competition II. Grace has performed numerous times in Carnegie Hall.

Besides piano, Grace enjoys digital design, film, and computer science. She has also played the violin and won the Tri-State Highest Scorer in RCM Examinations twice. Recently Grace received 4th Runner Up for the Miss Teen Dance Title at KAR and performed with the Fierce National Dance Team this summer. Grace is the Secretary and Webmaster for Rescue Music Foundation, and also is a Photographer for The Phillipian. Grace manages the Andover JV football team.
