Formed in the fall of 2016, Quintetto Tranquillo, comprised of violinists Jerry Guo and Ethan Lin, violist Bella Fong, cellist Sean Lee, and pianist William Chen, had placed first in the Marin County branch's intermediate category of MTAC VOCE and fourth in MTAC VOCE's state finals and the senior category of the US Open Music Competition. Together, they have performed and competed across the San Francisco Bay Area, as well as Los Angeles. Training at California Music Preparatory Academy with Allegra Chapman this past season, Quintetto Tranquillo worked with Ronald Copes of the Juilliard String Quartet through the Menuhin masterclass, as well as visiting artist Patrick Dalton-Holmes, studying Dvorak's Piano Quintet Op 81, I. Allegro ma non tanto, and Shostakovich's Piano Quintet in G minor Op 57, III. Scherzo.
