Avery Duer, 15 is a rising 10th Grader at Greens Farms Academy in Westport, CT. She has studied piano with Ms. Yoshie Akimoto for the past year. This spring she won "Most Outstanding Performance" award at the CSMTA Competition. She also won first prize for the French Award at the Schubert Club Competition. In 2016 Avery was the Alternate Winner of the MTNA State Competition. In August 2017, she will be performing at the Vianden International Music Festival in Luxembourg. Avery is also an avid percussionist (drums and marimba) and enjoys participating in theater productions at school and in the community in the pit band.
