Tyler Schmidt is an undergraduate student enrolled at West Virginia University. He plans to get his bachelor’s degree in Flute Performance. Before college, he attended Queen Anne’s County High School in Centreville, MD. He studied under Fred Geiersbach (Williams College), who is the director at St. Andrews in Middletown, DE. Tyler placed within the top three seats for his last three years in the Eastern Maryland All Shore Honors Band. He also participated in the Wind Symphony at the Peabody Preparatory at Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, MD and the Eastern Maryland Youth Orchestra. Tyler is currently attending West Virginia University where he is studying with Professor Nina Assimakopoulos.
