Julia Jones is sixteen year old violinist from New York City. She started to take violin lessons with Viktor Basis at age of five at Lucy Moses School at the Kaufman Music Center.

2013 Julia won 1st Prize at the Cremona International Competition, Junior Group,
2015 Julia won 1st Prize and Special Prize from Natalia Korsakova at the eMuse International Competition in Athens, Greece.
2015 she won 1st Prize at the Grand Virtuoso International Competition in Paris, France.
2016 won 1st Prize at the American Protege International Concerto Competition.
2016 she became semi-finalist of the 8th International Louis Spohr Competition for Young Violinists in Weimar, Germany.
2017 Julia became Grand Prize Winner at the 4th ENKOR International Competition.
2017, First Prize winner for The Music of 19th Century at the Great Composers International Competition, First Prize winner for Artist of the Year, at Great Composers International Competition, and First Prize winner for Best Wieniawski Performance at Great Composers International Competition.
2018 Julia became a winner of Kaufman Music Center Concerto Competition.
2018, First Prize Winner at VIVO International Music Competition.
2018-2019 Julia became New York State and Eastern Division Winner of MTNA(Music Teacher National Association) Competition.
2019 Julia became a Bronze Winner at the National MTNA Competition.

2019 Winner of Special Music School High School Concerto Competition, she performed J.Sibelius Violin Concerto with Park Avenue Chamber Symphony Orchestra. , conductor David Bernard.

2019 1st Prize at the 3rd Oskar Rieding International Competition for Young Musicians,
Special Prize for the best Oskar Rieding Piece, and Special Prize to perform with Slovenia Philharmonic String Orchestra in 2019/2020 season.

Julia attended various music festivals like, InterHarmony Music Festival in Germany,
International Music Academy in Cremona, Italy, Summer String Festival at Merkin Hall, NYC, International Academy of Music in Castelnuovo di Carfagnana, Italy, Concertato Masterclasses in Anacapri, Italy, and Crans-Montana Classics Masterclasses in Switzerland
She performed at Merkin Hall and Weill Recital Hall in New York.
She was invited to Paris to perform at the National Bastille Opera at the Winners Award Ceremony.
Julia performed at the musical evening at Joshua Bell's Fundraising event.
She performed at the annual Gala for Kaufman Music Center in NYC, and Henry Schneider Scholarship Luncheon and Concert, and many other concerts around NYC.
On May 22, 2017 and October 2019 Julia performed Bach Double Concerto with Joshua Bell.
In 2016, Julia gave solo recitals the Christ Church NYC and Ann Goodman Hall at the Kaufman Music Center.
In 2017, Julia played a solo recital at Castelnuovo di Carfagnana.
In December 2019 Julia was invited to perform Bach Double Concerto with European Youth Spirit Orchestra(EYSO) around Italy under button Igor Coretti Kuret.
Julia was taking masterclasses with Dmitri Berlinsky, Felix Andrievsky, Vadim Gluzman, Catherine Cho, Almita Vamos, Natalia Likhopoi, Viktor Tretiakov, Cho-Liang Lin, Gregory Kalinovsky.
In 2017 Julia was one of 12 students who were chosen to participated in masterclasses directed by Shlomo Mintz in Crans-Montana, Switzerland where she studied with Shlomo Mintz, Cihat Askin, Sungsic Yang, and Sonig Tchakerian.
In the summer of 2018 Julia was accepted to The Perlman Music Program, where she studied with Itzhak Perlman, Catherine Cho, Li Lin.
In 2018, Julia received a merit scholarship from Kaufman Music Center.
Julia became part of NGO Committee on Migration and YouthArt Force where she performs at the charitable concerts benefiting different causes.
In her free time Julia likes to read, paint, play video games, and visit art museums.
