HeeSun Yang
HeeSun Yang was born in South Korea, beginning her viola studies at age of ten. Following her studies at Seoul Arts High School and Yonsei University, she received her Masters degree at the Yale School of Music with Ettore Causa. She has appeared in chamber music playing with Desmond Hoebig, James Dunham, Timothy Pitts and Kathy Wrinkler. She was a prize winner in the MusicJournal Competition and Gangnam-Weimar Competition, Hyo Compeition, and Chongsin Music Competition. Also as a dedicated orchestral musician, she has performed with the Houston Symphony and Fort Worth Symphony. She received a New Horizon Fellowship at the Aspen Music Festival and School two year in a row and is currently in the first year of an Artist Diploma at Rice University Shepherd School of Music.
