Daniel Cheng


Daniel K. Cheng, age 15, started playing piano since the age of 8. He is currently studying piano with Florence Ko, and has placed in a wide various local, state and international piano competitions. Daniel won first place twice at RPTA Young Artist Piano Audition in 2011 and 2012; was Second Prize Winner of the 2017 Bradshaw & Buono International Piano Competition; First Prize Winner of the International Music Competition Grand Prize Virtuoso 2017; and was invited to perform at the Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall, as First Place Winner of the American Protégé International Music Talent Competition Spring 2017. From 2013-2015, Daniel was a member of a piano performance team, performed at over 20 retirement complexes, schools, and churches across NC, SC, VA and DC. Daniel also has great passion for Math competition, as he won silver medal at national math competition MathCON 2017 hosted at Chicago.
