Brandon is a ten-year-old, fourth grader from Apex, NC. He began study in piano with his private teacher Florence Ko at age five and has since competed and placed in various local and state piano competitions, notably winning North Carolina Federation of Music Clubs’ Mary Davis Honorary Award in 2014 and Maxine Taylor Fountain Memorial Award in 2017. Since age six, he has won several 1st places of Raleigh Piano Teachers Association’s annual Young Artist Piano Audition. His other awards include NCFMC State Royalty Competition “Page Boy of Music” in 2014 and “Lord of Music” in 2017. More recently, Brandon won the first-place finish in the American Protégé International Music Talent Competition. When he is not playing piano Brandon likes reading, drawing and sports.
