Amanda Chao, a 10th grader in New Jersey, began playing the violin under Ms. Shelley Holland-Moritz at the age of 5. She began studying under the late Joey Corpus when she was 8 and has continued on to study under Mr. Ming-Feng Hsin.
Amanda has received multiple awards in competitions, such as ENKOR International Music Competition, Vivo International Music Competition, National Young Artists Chamber Music and Ensemble, International Music Competition Salzburg “Grand Prize Virtuoso”, etc. In her free time, Amanda enjoys reading books, performing for others as well as participating in the New York Youth Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Music programs.
