Julie Karam
Julie Karam, 18, is a senior at Bergen County Academies in Hackensack New Jersey. Julie started playing violin at the age of 5 under Ms. Shelley Holland-Moritz and studied under the late Joey Corpus since she was 10 years old. Currently, Julie continues her violin study with Mr. Ming-Feng Hsin.
She has won awards in competitions including New York Music Competition, ENKOR International Music Competition, Vivo International Music Competition, Great Composers Competitions, National Young Artists Chamber Music and Ensemble Competition, etc. She is a member of both the New York Youth Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Music programs. She has performed in many venues including Carnegie Hall, Carnegie Weill Recital Hall, Merkin Music Hall, United Palace, Manhattan School of Music, New Jersey PAC, libraries, churches and senior centers around Northern New Jersey. Julie enjoys collaborating with others in ensembles and orchestras in addition to her solo performance. Julie loves celebrating the joys of life through creating and sharing music with others.
