Anna Chung

Anna, 13-year-old, started playing the clarinet at age seven and a half. Her love for the clarinet has given her a dream to become a professional clarinetist who moves hearts, heals hurts and shares joys. She is a music scholar at Ravenswood School for Girls, and an active member of a wind ensemble, a school orchestra and a choir. She enjoys performing and contributing her musical gifts to the School and the wider community. She has achieved great results from previous AMEB exams, and is going to sit AMEB grade 8 exam this year. She was also successful in 102.5 Fine Music “Young and Even Younger Performers” Audition in March 2014. She is now enjoying clarinet study with Dr Deborah De Graaff.

Anna, Year 8, clarinet, won first place in the category for Clarinet (19 years old and under) and was awarded a Highly Commended in the category of Woodwind (15 years old and under) at the Sydney Eisteddfod. She won the 2nd place in Sydney Eisteddfod Final Alf & Pearl Pollard Memorial Instrumental Awards for Performance Excellence, She also passed her AMEB Clarinet Certificate of Performance Examination with Honours.
