Tomasz F Kleczek
Tomasz Kleczek is 13 years old and in 7th grade. He has been studying the piano under the instruction of Dr. Anna Ouspenskaya since 2009. Tomasz also studies music theory with Lora Baronian. Tomasz is a prize winner of several competitions, including first prize at the Golden Key Music Festival with a performance at Weill Recital Hall, Carnegie Hall in New York City and first prize at the NVMTA Robert Spencer Piano Concerto Competition. He also has won prizes at the Washington Steinway Piano Competition, NVMTA Piano Concerto Festival, the NVMTA Piano Ensemble Competition, and the Asian American Music Society International Competition. Tomasz has performed at the Polish Embassy in Washington, D.C., George Mason University, the Kennedy Center’s Lang Lang 101 Pianists program in 2012, and St. Mark Catholic Church’s 50th Anniversary concert series. Tomasz has participated in the Arts for All Ages program, performing at local retirement communities. In addition to playing the piano, Tomasz composes and is learning to play the trombone and violin. He is a member of the church choir where he also plays the organ. Tomasz is a competitive swimmer in the Potomac Valley Swimming League and Northern Virginia Swimming League, and enjoys skiing, astrophotography, gardening, and cheese making.
