Spencer Day was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He began studying violin at the age of five. Much of his instruction was spent studying with former Utah Symphony member, Jack Ashton. After graduating high school in 2014, Spencer served a two-year volunteer mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, proselyting in Sapporo Japan. Upon returning home, he began studying at Brigham Young University and is currently pursuing a degree in violin performance, studying with Professor Monte Belknap. He is currently a member of the BYU Philharmonic and Chamber Orchestras, and will be touring in the Philippines with the Chamber Orchestra this summer. Spencer has a passion for music and hopes to continue playing the violin throughout his life.
