Saul Ibarra Ramos


Saul Ibarra began his musical education at the age of 7.

From 2012 onwards he has been studying at the Instituto Universitario de Bellas Artes of the University of Colima with Vlada Vassilieva and Anatoly Zatin.

In 2013 during his piano solo debut he played Haydn´s D major Concerto accompanied by the CREM orchestra in Ajijic, Jalisco.

in 2015 He performed as soloist with the National Music Conservatory Orchestra, interpreting Concerto Opus 16 by Grieg in the 75th anniversary of the University of Colima at the Senate of the Republic and has performed in various states of the Mexican Republic. Recently, in december 2016, Saul performed the Liszt Piano Concerto no. 1 with the Zacatecas Philarmonic orchestra. He has received multiple prizes at International Piano Competitions such as the 4th prize and prize for the best performance of the XX century composition at thee New York Piano Festival and Competition, 2nd prize at the Maria Herrero International Piano Competition in Spain, the Special Helena Prize for the best interpretation of the modern piece at the International Piano Competition for young musicians in the Netherlands, and the First prize at the Vancouver Piano Festival of Russian music. On July 1st, 2016 He performed at the Weill recital Hall of the Carnegie hall during the winners concert of the New York Piano Festival and Competition. He has taken master classes with Vladimir Ovchinnikov, Vladislav Kovalsky , Mikahil Voskeresensky and Andreas Frolich among others.
