Rebecca Dunayev is a 11th grade student at Newark Academy, Livingston, NJ, where she is pursuing an International Baccalaureate Diploma program. Rebecca started playing piano at the age of 6, and is currently studying piano under Lana Chakoff in Livingston, NJ. Rebecca regularly performs in concerts organized by the Pompton Valley Music Teacher association. She won the 3rd place in the GSS Competitions, Music of Europe and Music of the Centuries. She also won the 3rd place in the 2017 Prima Volta Music Competition.
Rebecca is an active member of the community. She is a President at the Friendship Circle, a non-profit organization helping kids with disabilities find friends and develop life skills. She is also volunteering at the Overlook Medical center, because she likes to help people, and is considering a career in a life science or medical field. Rebecca believes music and visual arts have a healing power, and she is working with her school to organize concerts and art exhibits at medical centers and senior citizen facilities.
