Jennifer Chen is a 5th grader at Mansfield Middle School, Mansfield, Connecticut, USA. She began her piano studies at the age of five. She studied with Dr. Sarah Masterson for two years (August 2012 to August 2014). Since then she has been studying with Ms. Elaine Silbereis.
Jennifer has played in the West Hartford Piano Studio recitals, West Hartford Teacher Alliance recitals and festivals over the last three years. She has been participating the Royal Conservatory Music Development Program since 2013. She was awarded the State Certificate of Excellence for level 3 piano in 2015 and for level 4 piano in 2016 and was invited to play at Carnage Halls in 2015. She has been attending the Camp Sonatina in Vermont for 2-3 weeks in the summer since 2016.
In addition, she has begun her Beginning Violin Program since August 2016 with Mansfield School Orchestra. She also loves figure skating and gymnastics.
