Haemaru Chung


Haemaru Chung, a 16 years-old native New Yorker, began his violin studies at the age of five and currently studies with Dr. Ann Setzer. He was a Grand Winner of National League of Performing Arts National Young Musicians Showcase Competition, a First Place winner as well as Judges Distinction Award winner of American Protégé International Piano & Strings Competition, a Gold Medal winner of National Young Maestro Competition in 2017, a Grand-Prize winner of the Concert Festival International Competition in 2016, a First Place winner of Rondo Young Artist Festival in 2016 and a First Place winner of American Protégé International Music Talent Competition in 2015. In addition, he has received numerous awards and recognitions nationally and internationally, including Camerata Artists International Competition, International Grande Music Competition, Rondo Vanguard Competition and Associated Music Teachers League Scholarship Awards. He has performed at various venues, including Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, Kaufman Music Center’s Merkin Concert Hall and the Dimenna Center for Classical Music in New York City.
