Haemaru Chung
Haemaru Chung, a 17 year-old native New Yorker, is a violin soloist and chamber musician. He began his violin and piano studies at the age of five and currently studies violin with Dr. Ann Setzer. He was a Grand Prize winner of 2017 National League of Performing Arts National Young Musicians Showcase Competition and a Grand Prix winner of 2016 Concert Festival International Competition. He also won First Prize awards in numerous competitions, including 2017 American Fine Arts Festival (AFAF) Golden Era of Romantic Music International Competition, 2017 American Protégé International Piano & Strings Competition, 2017 National Young Maestro Competition, 2017 International Golden Classical Music Awards. He has performed at various venues, including Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, Kaufman Music Center’s Merkin Concert Hall and the Dimenna Center for Classical Music, Bruno Walter Auditorium at Lincoln Center, Trinity Church, Rutgers Presbyterian Church, Advent Lutheran Church in New York City.
