Esther Roestan
She won a National Mozart Competition and performed with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Surabaya, Indonesia in 2004. The following year the youngest member of the Indonesian National Orchestra. In 2008 Esther won the Patron Award at the Malaysian Youth Orchestra Festival. In 2009-2015 she studied with Grigory Kalinovsky at the Manhattan School of Music, and with Sigurbjorn Bernhardsson in 2016 until now at the Jacobs School of Music.
Esther attended the Zukerman Program, Heifetz International Music Institute, Bowdoin Music Festival, and Madeline Island Chamber Music. Esther have been assistant Concertmaster, principal second violin and currently the concertmaster in Jacobs School Concert Orchestra.
