Audrey Run-Yu Che, 11, from Leawood, Kansas, has been taking piano lessons under Ms. Ying-Yu Emily Yeh’s instruction since 2011. Audrey was named the first place winner in Mid-America Music Festival in 2013 and in Kansas Music Teachers Association State Honors Competitions in 2012 and 2016. She also received the Highest Honors with Special Merit in Kansas City Music Teachers Association Fall Festival in 2012. Audrey was also chosen as the second place winner of the American Protégé International Competition of Romantic Music 2013 and invited to play at the winners’ recital at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Audrey participated in the National Piano Guild Auditions and received the Guild Founder’s Plaque Award in 2013. Besides piano, Audrey also loves reading, dancing, and swimming.
