Sophia Zheng, born and raised in South Florida, has been playing piano since age 6. She is now an eleventh grader, 16 years old, and has competed locally many times.
In 2016, she won 3rd place in the The American Protégé International Competition of Romantic Music. She successfully performed in Carnegie Hall in March 2017. Sophia participated in Best Performance Competition Series, Best Chopin Performance 2017 and received 3rd place. In 2017, she also participated the Music of the Centuries Competition Series, 19th Century and received 3rd place.
She currently studies with Dr. Raisa Isaacs. Outside of music, she also enjoys math, reading, and baking.
