Rong Brothers Trio is formed by Max Rong (12 years old), Sky Rong (11 years old) and Hank Rong (8 years old) from Overland Park, KS, under Ms. Ying-Yu Emily Yeh’s tutelage. Rong Brothers have just recently participated in the American Protégé International Piano and Strings Competition chamber music division in January, 2017 and received third place. They are invited to perform at Carnegie Hall, New York in April 2017.
Max Rong and Sky Rong were named the first place winner in piano duet division in the Kansas Music Teachers Association State Honors Competition in 2012 and Honorable Mention in piano solo division in 2014. They both also participated in the Mid-America Music Association Music Festival and were chosen Outstanding Young Performer in piano duet division in 2012 and 2014. They were glad to have their youngest brother, Hank Rong, join their chamber music team this year.
