Polina Cherezova
Polina Cherezova was born in Russia and moved to the U.S. with her family when she was just one year old. She began studying piano with local private teachers in Southern California at age 10. In recent summers, she has attended international music festivals including Music Fest Perugia in Italy and the Colburn Piano Festival in Los Angeles. Polina has also received the chance to perform in master classes taught by Angela Cheng, Nadia Shpachenko, and Robert Rust. In the summer of 2016, Polina made her European orchestral debut performing Chopin’s Piano Concerto No.2 in F minor in Perugia, Italy with the University of Alicante Symphony. Currently, Polina is a second year undergraduate at UCLA, studying piano performance under the instruction of Professor Inna Faliks. At UCLA, she has been awarded the music department scholarship, Sophie & Pick Memorial scholarship, and named a Regents scholar for academic excellence.
