Soprano Maria Kerlee begins her 2017 season appearing as Donna Anna in the New England Conservatory Undergraduate Opera Studio’s production of Don Giovanni. In summer 2016 she was an Apprentice Artist at Miami Music Festival, where she sang the role of Second Lady in their production of Magic Flute. Recent highlights also include the role of Second Witch in NEC’s 2016 production of Dido and Aeneas, as well as the role of Fiordiligi in NEC’s 2015 Opera Scenes concert. Ms. Kerlee has also been heard at the American University of Rome, as part of their 2014 Summer Vocal Institute with Marilyn Horne, and as a guest artist with the Icicle Creek Summer Symphony in Leavenworth, Washington. In 2014, she took First Place in the Tahoma National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Competition. She is currently finishing her Bachelor’s of Music at the New England Conservatory, where she studies with internationally renowned soprano Jane Eaglen.
