Juan Antonio Rodriguez Diaz
B.M from the University of Caldas, Juan Antonio has been a Fellow of the Youth Philharmonic of Colombia since 2016. In 2015 he was selected as a Fellow of the ""Young Talent Artists"" Program of ICETEX. He Participated in the Festival of Music of Santa Catarina (FEMUSC) in the years 2012 and 2015. He has participated in Master Classes of Bassoon with the teachers; David Douçot, Alejandra Rojas, Fabio Cúry, Saxton Rose, Benjamin Coelho, Rob Weir, Fabian Contreras, among others and has worked with directors like Andres Orozco-Estrada, Daniel Meyer, Dante Anzolini, Jeffrey Turner, James Blachly, Gorka Sierra, Leonardo Marulanda, among others.
Juan Antonio was born in Manizales. He started his bassoon studies at the Batuta Caldas Foundation under the mentorship of Sebastian Castellanos and Carlos Sandoval. He was Fagotista of the Municipal Band of Manizales and the Orchestra Symphony of Caldas. He is currently a student of the 2nd Year of the Artist Diploma Program in Performance at Duquesne University (Pittsburgh - USA), under the mentorship of Philip Pandolfi, Bassoonist of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.
