Josie Liao, age ten, is a fifth grader at Orchard Middle School in Solon, Ohio. She started receiving formal piano training at six with Mrs. Esther Chu. Josie has received second place on the Great Composers Competition The Music of America in year of 2017. She also received unanimous superior ratings in the National Federation Junior Festivals for three years. In addition of playing piano, Josie loves playing viola at school orchestra. Besides music studies, Josie enjoys figure skating, skiing, reading and drawing. Earlier this year, her design has won the school’s yearbook cover contest.
