Brian Lee


Brian Lee, 15, is a sophomore at Monta Vista High School in Cupertino, California. He began playing saxophone at the age of 11 and is a student of Ken Moran. He plays alto, tenor, soprano, baritone saxophone, and flute. Brian has performed at various venues, such as the San Jose Jazz Summer fest. In eighth grade, he played lead alto in the Kennedy Middle School Jazz Band, and was also accepted into the Stanford Jazz Giant Steps Big Band. As a freshman in high school, Brian was accepted into the Cal Poly All-State Wind Orchestra, and also won the 2016 Cal Poly All-State Solo Competition playing jazz. In his sophomore year, he was accepted into the Stanford Jazz Miles Ahead Big Band. Outside of music, Brian is an officer in Monta Vista's Science Olympiad Team and Tri-M Music, and volunteers in his free time.
