Verina Chen
Verina Chen is an award-winning pianist who has won national, regional, and state piano competitions. In addition to winning national, regional, and state prizes Verina Chen has performed as a soloist with the Utah Symphony, Utah Valley Symphony, and American Fork Symphony. Verina also has experience performing with a variety of ensembles such as BYU's philharmonic orchestra and BYU's baroque ensemble.
Verina began her studies with Dr. Irene Peery-Fox in Provo, Utah. She holds a bachelor degree in piano performance from Brigham Young University, graduating with a full-ride music scholarship. She is also currently working on her postgraduate degree. Having been awarded the Reid Nibley Scholarship in 2016, Verina will be awarded the Master of Music from Brigham Young University in April, 2017.
In addition to her studies, Ms. Chen teaches beginning piano techniques courses, aural skills courses and also teaches privately. She often serves as a judge of local piano competition and enjoys all arts.
