Charmaine is currently studying under the tutelage of Gulnara Mashurova at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music. In June 2009, Charmaine joined Rave Harps, a harp ensemble under Ms Katryna Tan. Since then, Charmaine has participated in a variety of performances.
Among the performances include the Opening item of CHILAID 2009 at the premier concert of Resort World Sentosa, Young Harpists Concert 2010, the Acenis International Harp Festival 2012 (France) and the World Harp Congress 2014 (Sydney). She was recently invited to perform at the Rising Stars of Asia concert at the Asia Harp Festival 2016 (Seoul, Korea).
Charmaine has earned herself awards such as the 1st prize at the Camac Prize Taiwan Young Professional Division (2016), 1st prize at the Yong Siew
Toh Conservatory Concerto Competition 2015 (Winds/Brass/Harp/Percussion), 1st prize at the Asia Harp Chamber Competition (2015) as well as 2nd prize in the Enkor International Chamber Competition (2015/2016). She has also performed a concerto with Braddell Heights Symphony Orchestra as the soloist in 2014.
Charmaine currently freelances for the Singapore Symphony Orchestra and has
performed with The Philharmonic Orchestra (Singapore), Orchestra of Music Makers, Philharmonic Youth, Braddell Heights Symphony Orchestra, Singapore Wind Symphony, The Young Musicians’ Foundation Orchestra and Windstars Ensemble.
