Pétur Úlfarsson


Pétur Úlfarsson has been singing since he was a little boy, first in a Boys´Choir from the age of 6 and at the age of 10 he began his classical voice studies. He has gone from boy soprano to a tenor.

Pétur was chosen when he was 12 years old to sing the part of the first spirit in Mozart´s Magic Flute with The Icelandic Opera and became the first boy ever to sing this part within The Icelandic Opera. He also took part in La Bohéme and Carmen with the Icelandic Opera, singing with the childrens choir.

In 2013 when Pétur was 14 years old he was chosen to sing the boy soprano solo in Chichester Psalms with The Icelandic Symphony Orhchestra.

In January this year Pétur sang in a masterclass for Paul Phoenix.

Pétur also plays the violin and began his studies when he was 4 years old. He has won competitions in Iceland playing the violin and served as a Concertmaster with The Iceland Symphony Youth Orchestra. Pétur has performed in masterclasses playing for Midori, Christian Tetzlaff and Reka Szilvay, among others.

Pétur has attended violin academies and music festivals both in Europe and the United States.
