Nicole Leung
Nicole Leung, soprano, is currently in her second year at the New England Conservatory, where she studies with Jane Eaglen. A native to Toronto, she began studying with Galina Lukomsky at age 11. Nicole completed elementary and high school Havergal College where she found her love of singing was fostered greatly through the school’s strong music program, and where she was awarded the The Diana Aylwin Morrison 1945 Award for Musical Excellence and the Senior Academic Prize for Vocal Music at graduation. In her first year at NEC, Nicole was in the chorus of the Harvard Radcliffe Gilbert and Sullivan Players’ production of HMS Pinafore. Over the summer of 2016, Nicole was a studio artist at SongFest, an intensive program focused on art song, where she studied with Audrey Luna. This fall, Nicole was a part of NEC’s Opera Scenes Program, where she performed the role of Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro and the first spirit in The Magic Flute. Nicole has performed with the Chinese Artists Society of Toronto, twice, and the Corktown Chamber Orchestra. She has also performed in masterclasses for Amy Burton, Anthony Dean Griffey, Sanford Sylvan, and Margo Garrett.
