Michelle Gan lives in Cary, North Carolina and is currently a junior at Enloe High School. She began playing piano at the age of 5 and viola at age 9. Michelle began studying piano with Dr. Clara Yang in 7th grade, receiving honors at various local piano and viola competitions, such as the Young Artist Auditions and the Charles F. T. Nakarai/Loren Withers Piano Competition. She won second place in the American Protégé International Piano and Strings Competition in 2015 and performed at Weill Recital Hall. She also received an Honorable Mention in the Alexander & Buono International Competition. She enjoys share her music with others in nursing home and various recitals. She is 2016 Siemens semifinalist.
