Anna Zhong is a freshman at Ladue Horton Watkins High School. She is in her fourth season with the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra. She began playing the violin at the age of five, joined the SLSYO in 6th grade, and is now currently serving as the Assistant Principal of the SLSYO. Anna has also been part of the Community Music School of Webster University orchestras for two years. She now participates in the Preparatory Program of CMS. In 2016, Anna won the first MBU/SCC Solo Competition. Anna studies with Joo Kim.
Anna also enjoys playing the piano, placing first three years in a row at the MMTA state competition. Besides playing the violin, she participates in afterschool activities such as Science Olympiad and Math club. In her free time, she enjoys eating and sleeping, watching YouTube and K-drama, listening to music, and drawing.
